I guess that red spike one is Aechmea ...but many of Aechmeas hybrids look like this too. But I think it might be Aech. 'Royal Wine'. About the Tillandsia. T.recurvata and T.mallemontii are so alike to each other. But I think your is T.recurvata. Sorry I dunno about that pink spike Aechmea. Cheers, ...

Hi Mr.Katzu,

Have you check the genus and spiecie by this database website "FCBS" yet ?

See the tab menu and the left and look for Hechtia and Dyckia or Encholirium (or any xeric Bromeliad you know).

Ahhh thanks very much Timm. That helps a lot :D. I only know that Tillandsia petals are separated freely from each other. But now I know how to identify Vriesea. Very great informations.

Thanks a lot for the advices. I just wonder that some roland-goselinii have yellow-redish leaves (maybe in where I live weather is not cool enough to make them change color).

Hi Everyone, I'm not really sure what caused my T.harrisii. Green stripes at the edge of leaves (with out trichome). I tried to compare with variegated plants. But it looks different. He he it was just the only name I could think of when you said "Peru, Cajamarca". And the plant looks really big thats why I think it might be T.dudleyi.....but still not sure.

P.S. Looks like they grow up so well where you live! (so jealous :lol: :lol: ).

I think I got this one at home too. But very difficult to grow here in where I live (Khon Kaen, Thailand). Got as unknown name and never bloom. But I think I might be T.dudleyi, still not sure....but waiting for the experts to help !
