Re: Deuterocohnia without species name
Hi folks, I am just transplanting all of my xerophytic bromeliads at the moment (in a greenhouse with 38 to 40°C !! no kidding !) and there are still a few that need a name. Does anybody have an idea what this Deuterocohnia could be ? This plant with the number 130001, Rauh (R:50822) was collected ...

Sorry, I couldn't understand exactly what you were saying in German, so I did not reply until you did send me your message in English. :( Yes, Aechmea involucrata is also possible, I thought because of the pink color A.wuelfinghoffii fitted the best, but when you look to the collecting place the fir...

What about Tilla...

Hi Timm, White Tillandsia streptocarpa Baker from Bolivia is not rare at all. There is a large population near Comarapa. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish T.streptocarpa from Tillandsia reichenbachii Baker and even the border between Tillandsia duratii Visiani and T.streptocarpa are vague. I ...

I would suggest Tillandsia scaposa, you can clearly see the floral bracts of the inflorescence [/i]

plant from Ecuador
I have seen Tillandsia barbeyana near Baños, Ecuador, and the plant looked very much the same, but the infl. and flowers didn't.
The infl. and flowers looks more like Tillandsia maculata Ruiz & Pav.
Best regards,
Eric Gouda Very Happy
