Yes the bigger plants are in a soil substrate,as they had developed roots all ready in small pots.

And here a bigger pup of Aechmea recurvata var. ortgiesii ,and to the left a small dot of epiweb was glued on with a tillandsia attached.

The material is tough and can be cut by knife or saw with small teeth, or a hot-wire.I got 3 triangle shapes out of one 250 x 120 x 20mm slab and then bent into pocket shapes,which were then glued to the tiles.i have only just started using it .To me, it pretty good stuff as it is tough and versatile.

I have Aechmea recurvata'' Aztec gold','Aechmea recurvata var benrathii, Aechmea recurvata var ortgesii all about to bloom ,are any able to set seed ? .are any self-pollinator?

Hi enrique,If your tillandsias are grown in pots, pine bark and charcoal is a good potting mixture but it is best that the mix be allowed to dry out completely between waterings as tillandsias have limited tolerances to wet potted situation(even dyeriana which is from humid areas).for your sick plan...
