Those are the tynest of them all and new to everybody on Earth! The coin is a of one cent of an Euro! I found these plants 52 km from my house in Not...

Yes it is a temptation

Dyckias do have many faces and this happens this way, one out from a thousand may be the road to heaven but it takes time all the time one mortal guy may spare. So dyckias alone are much than enough. Yes and yes one who sews too much must do the culling and this is not a happy job. We here are learn...

Yes, Dyckias love to reproduce

Dyckias reproduce by the thousands, and even if we look straight into a box full of seedlings we are bound to see some individual differences. In nature it is very hard to find new seedlings. Sometimes many years pass without appearing new seedlings in nature. A new plant is always to be celebrated ...

Dyckias: we can do our own unique plants.

Hybrids are an easy task when we are Dyckia linked. An orchid may take ages and ages and ages ahead turn to be a deception in most of the cases. Dyckia hybrids are fast growing and an easy task to make. In just one year of good and correct care a Dyckia hybrid seedling may be this fine: [align=cente...

Dyckia encholirioides

Here they are recieving South Atlantic Ocean salt spray some 60 km from my home. Look at the restinga( vegetation close to the sea) plants like cacti with them. They are thriving in pure fine white sand and organic debris. http://lh4.ggpht.com/gastaldiconstantino/SQg4Kuelr6I/AAAAAAAAAh8/s4L47yFJsQg/...

Re: Dyckia Mundo

Down under you see one Dyckia brevifolia Izabel. Have you seen a broader or wider leaved Dyckia? It comes from the Ibirama region and is one of the two envolved in the criation of Dyckia Mundo. http://lh5.ggpht.com/gastaldiconstantino/SQc4upCXS2I/AAAAAAAAAhQ/--yHRcqAlBQ/s512/Dyckia%20brevifolia%20Iz...

Dyckia Mundo

Yes that is not a natural. It is a home made one. Here one Dyckia marnier ( One of the several kinds) and a Dyckia brevifolia Izabel got together. Here just one year and a half ago they had fallen in love! The Izabel form of D. brevifolia has broader wider leaves and comes from the Ibirama region on...

Yes, yes and a triple yes: they do look very like.

Yes they look closely alike. I do not like Orthophytum of any species . The reason is that the plant dies after blooming. That means...if you do all the right things the plant will thank you by dying. The plant is beautiful and doing well and you are proud of it and your skills, than the miserable t...

The plant suffers and dies

The very first efect in shadowing is the longer, greener and slender leaves and the consequent loose of the the plant shape and form. The plant stops all the flowering and sprouting and gets fragile to any pest assault. The plant perishes in one or one and a half year or so. This is frequent when th...

Prosit Joachim!

This plant is young and a collected one. I have just one. The collector was a lousy one and mistreated the plants. Yes they enjoyed a bit more of umidity and in my opinion any Dyckia Does. There is no reason for us to oblige them to some tortures as to spend five months without water. There is no re...

Dyckia braunii is native to Brazil

This jewel is native to the Central Brazil. We name this huge region as Cerrado. This plant and many other comes from the Cerrado. In nature it has a marked rainy season and a dry one. One has no necessity to inflict this to this jewel. It doesn´t like to be tortured and grows magnificently well in ...
