I am sorry but I have absolutely no experience with that subject.
But maybe there is somebody here:
Check the memberlist for Andreas Böker and ask him
He has arranged several time a large import of tillandsias from the US.
Sorry that I couldn't help any better

Import to Germany

For import of plants to Germany you need an phytosanitary certificate. Without such an document, you cannot import to Germany. There is a little exception and this is a direct inspection at the frankfort airport, but this is for small quantities only.
I'm importing once a year for the DBG and we have phyto and this is all we need. For my private collection I've got plants from Australia some years ago and these were inspected in Frankfort and I could import them, too.
But there is another point: if I'm importing plants from outside the european union, I've to pay tax (about 20% of the plant value). This is quite easy if you buy the plants, you have got an invoice and the amount on the invoice is the base for tax. I do not know, what happens if you bring in the plants with you. This is new to me.
I would recommend to have a phyto if you can get it in your country. And be prepared to pay tax. I think it should be the best, to have a plant list with you.
Sorry, but that is all, I can tell you.
