Of course this name is not valid ´cause the science rests and snorts out loudly.
Nevertheless I do think it is valid to show new discoveries, named or not.
I think it is far better than to dry it out, fix it on a cartoon paper and keep it in a drawer for ages and ages until it turns into dust. In wilderness plants have no tags and most are unknown to science and it will take a very long while as this science has done so before again and again.
Noeli is the female gardner and intrepeneur who saw this beauty by the first time and recognized the new in it. Some time later we Saw the green form of it. This plant is a pretty and is almost without spines. It is extremely rare in nature and just a few are still there. The pine trees are taking all the space in there and shadowing the plant. The worst for a Dyckia is to live without good sun.It will dissappear long before being science known. The death fallen pine needles were covering the plant integrally. Just the points of the leaves were left to be seen. It was a miracle Noeli had seen the plant.
Here I keep them in a very large and roomy tray. It flourished by the first time in culture so I guess I am doing good. The seeds will be true ´cause extreme care have been taken in order to get true seeds.
I think this plant is a natural hibrid ´cause the plant bears some features of Dyckia dusseni ( the silver in the center of the crown) and some hints found in Dyckia tuberosa and Dyckia monticola. But since long ago these plants are not there anymore, maybe since unregistrable times.
But it may be a species by itself and for sure it is a very gorgeous plant. That, new species or a new nature hibrid, is for the lazy ( und müde und schläfrig)science to decide.
