Welcome bromelia_boy
Its definite difficult to tell about Neoregelia...there are about over 2,000 hybrids and another unknown hybrids. Most of them look so same ! lol Maybe we have to wait and see your Neo. to have bloom. thats easier to find out too ....but i am not really good at terrestirla Bromeliads. There too many many spiecies and hybrids lol.

A Neoregelia to me
From the foliage it is definately a Neoregelia.bomelia_boy hat geschrieben:One my friend has assumed that it maybe
Nidularium innocentii var. striatum or lineatum?
what you think about it?
Nidularium innocentii var. striatum has smaller leafs and
Neoregelias usually have that distinctive spine at the tip of the leaf.
The inflorescence will tell it all.
доброй ночи (I hope babelfish did a good job)
Greetings Timm

Hi Vitaly....you're welcome!!
Nice plant you have...it's really neat. I always love any Bromeliad that seem to be xeric species.
I myself collect Dyckia, Encholirium, Orthophytum, Deuterocohnia, Hechtia
and never think of Aechmea that's so cool!! I will try to find one.
I noticed you grow many epiphytic plant, especially Orchids.
As you would know, my country, Thailand, has at least 1,200 of native orchid species
that not include thousands of hybrid which created here.
Glad you are here, you know, I never have Russian friend before

I would like to meet new friends in other part of the world and would be glad to trade plants or seed from this part of the world.

Yeh...Vitaly, finally the Aechmea recurvata seeds you had sent arrived Bangkok today !!
Actually, it should arrive earlier, I guess that the postage was delayed by the coup here
As you would know form the news that Thailand is in coup situation, but everything is OK,
no violent, no battle, no bomb, no shooting.
I will sow them tommorow, I would like to name all the germinated seedling as
"Vitaly No 1" ,2,3....
Some of my select clone of Dyckia marnier-lapostollei are setting seed pods right now.
I hope I could send the amount of seeds to you within next month after they had rippen.
All my best to you.

Hey Vitaly
Your Aechmea recuvata seeds have germinated since yesterday.
So, it took about a week to sprout up their first little root.
They seem to germinate with a good success, 60-70%
I will take some pic when they appear green leaf and post here.
These are some of my other babies, a dozen kinds of Hechtia sp. from Mexico
which I purchase seeds from a German seed dealer months ago.
And your Dyckia marnier-lapostollei seeds are growing very well in their seed pod.
