Dear bromlovers,
I have problems to identify this plant. I got it nearly two years ago as a Vriesea gigantea, but I think it is closer to an Alcantarea species... There is certain resemblance to A. imperialis, but not sure. It has got grass pups, & I have read it is characteristic to this species . It has got a span of 45 cm. at the present. It will be a very nice surprise if I could confirm that I have got an Alcantarea in my garden !!!
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Best regards.
