I received this xeric brom from a good friend of mine in Germany.
The plant arrived here without any tag, but only a dried inflorescense with some seed pods.
I guessed from the seed feature and vegetative characteristic that it should be a Deuterocohnia.
I've shared the seed to some of my friends around the world.
Yesterday, while I serched on internet, I came acrossed with the name Deuterocohnia strobilifera.
It remind me of this unknown Deuterocohnia as its inflorescense look like the strobilus of pteridophyte,
so that specific epithet would mean this characteristic of the plant.
Also I saw "var. inermis" so I guess this would mean "spineless"
as the plant bear nearly spineless (only few) on leaf's edge.
If scientific name could tell us something, I think it work now
Anyway, I just try to find out.
