Tillandsia grandis gets into flower

Howdie folks !!!
There are small Tillandsias, there are big Tillandsias and there is
Tillandsia grandis.
She is the biggest Tillie known so far.....
it is coming into flower at the Bot. Garden in Heidelberg !
According to an article in the BSI Journal 3/1996 it is supposed to take
35 years to do so in cultivation and should end up with an inflorecsence
around 11 feet (3,60 Meter).
So hopefully I can show you some pics by the time it is there.
It should take another 3-4 weeks. For a first glimpse, these are
the only pics I found on the internet so far.
