Dear Gerhard,

Glad to meet you, Too.

Comparing to the plant I got from Michael's, Yes, at first glance
I think your plant would be Dyckia 'Lad Cutak',
but as we know, there are a lot of hybrid in trade which look alike.
In fact, Dyckia 'Lad Cutak' is a hybrid from D.brevifolia x D. leptostachya,
so at least your plant must be propagated from pup not from seed, right ?

Your red-colored plant is really stunning...what is it?...let me guess,

it look like Aechmea recurvata red form, but with a long rhizome it should be a species in pendulous type of Neo. or it is Ursulaea tuitensis that I never seen the real one before.

Also in a link at the bottom of your thread, I found you have another nice xeric, determine from its leaf-spine, I think it would be a Hechtia ?
I would like to meet new friends in other part of the world and would be glad to trade plants or seed from this part of the world.

It is a ' Neoregelia pendula'

Do you like a Aechmea recurvata var.benrathii too ?

the Hechtia you ask for:

it locks a little like the Hechtia montana in this tread.

Now, every night the temperature will be colder, but the living room is too small.

Certainly, I love that Aechmea recuvata var. berathii.
Long time ago, I had this species and also a variegated form 'Aztec Gold'.
Today, only left in my house is Aech. recurvata red form.

Now, I'm waiting for a parcel post form our good friend, Joachim.
He sent me some interesting xeric brom, included Ursulaea tuitensis that I like.
I would like to meet new friends in other part of the world and would be glad to trade plants or seed from this part of the world.
